Course objectives
The subject aim is to go through current topics in preschool education in international content. Students get information and experience through discussion from experience from real Czech public kindergarten (students are supposed to visit a kindergarten) and at the same time from the experiences of other students.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course student should be able to: understand and discuss current topics of Czech and foreign preschool education; understand the conditions of Czech public preschool education and conditions of forein preschool education; compare approaches of Czech preschool education and system of education in student’s country.
Syllabus
  • Syllabus of Preprimary education is divided into seven topics: 1. Changes in preschool education in the Czech Republic and other countries 2. Changes in framework educational programs for preschool education (its philosophy, structure) and inclusive work with children 3. Cooperation with the family 4. Play as a basic starting point for the education of preschool children and its transformation 5. Competence of the teacher in the modern world, his professional development
