- The subject deals with changes in national, European society and in the world since the end of 15th century to 1789 in political, economic, social and culture area.
- Syllabus
- The subject deals with changes in national, European society and in the world since the end of 15th century to 1789 in political, economic, social and culture area. 1. Transatlantic discoveries, first and second colonial wave. 2. Renaissance and humanism. 3. European reformation. 4. The Habsburg dynasty against the Alois dynasty. 5. Comparison of the Dutch, English revolution and uprise of the USA. 6. Religious wars in France and development of the country at the beginning of 17th century. 7. England under the rule of Tudor dynasty. 8. Thirty-years war. 9. “Century of Lewis XIV.” 10. Revolutions in England during 17th century and their consequences for English society. 11. Changes in Holy Roman empire of German people after thirty-years war and uprise of Prussian power. 12. Industrial revolution in England. 13. Polish “aristocratic paradise” in comparison with the development in Russia and Turkish empire. 14. Baroque, enlightenment and classicism.
