Course objectives
The basic textbook is French for advanced (lessons 8-17). Development of communicative competence on the basis of earlier acquired knowledge and vocabulary in following areas: linguistic, pragmatic, strategic, sociolinguistic. The acquired knowledge is tested at the end of each lesson.
Syllabus
  • 1. Adjectives. Position of adjectives. Comparison with Czech. 2. Future tense and its different forms in French: periphrastic and future perfect. 3. Active and passive voice. Changing the voice. 4. Condition in if-clauses after expressions of wish, feeling, doubt. 5. Demonstrative pronouns, compound forms. Emphasing. 6. Possessive pronouns. The differences in possessing. 7. Relative clauses. 8. Unity of past participle and object. 9. Sequence of tenses in indicative and conditional clauses.
