Course objectives
General characteristics of the political and constitutional systems of developing countries. The classification of developing countries. The political and constitutional system of China (the development after 1945, Mao Ce-Tung, Teng Siao-pching, the contemporary situation). The political and constitutional systems in the countries of the Near East and the Central East (Turkey, Egypt, Libya, Iran, Iraq, Arabian - Persian Gulf, Afghanistan and Pakistani). The political and constitutional system of India (the gaining of independence, Gandhi, Nehru, the contemporary situation). The poltical and constitutional systems of the countries in the Eastern and South-Eastern Asia (Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Burma, South Korea, North Korea). The political and constitutional systems of Central-Asiatic republics (the countries of the former U.S.S.R., Mongolia). The political and constitutional systems of African countries (the process of decolonization, Nigeria, Angola, East Africa). The political and constitutional systems in the countries of Latin America (Cuba and its geopolitical significance, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile). Main objectives can be summarized as follows: the orientation in the political systems of developing countries; the ability of comparison of the political systems and the awareness of the differences among them; the knowledge of the history of the countries mentioned above in the second half of the 20th century.
