- Course objectives
- This course will primarily be based upon Units 3-6 in Inside Out Advanced. Through practice, students will become more comfortable and more proficient using new complex structures. They will also develop a more sophisticated sense of the subtleties of English, (collocations, connotations, register, etc). They will further develop their reading skills (extra material provided) and work on their vocabulary.
- Syllabus
- Cover U 3-6 Inside Out Advanced (including both Student's book and Workbook), extra work required (see below).
- Topics covered are City, Talk, Luck and Mind and include grammar, vocabulary, collocations and word linking.

- Teaching methods
- The classes will involve class discussions, pair-work and group-work. There will be an on-line course in which students will be expected to participate to improve their writing skills. They will also be asked to complete homework.
- Assessment methods
- Classes will involve group- and pair-work and all students will be expected to participate. Extra work will be posted on is.muni.cz. The course finishes with a credit, to obtain this students must pass the credit test (comprising Use of English, Reading and Listening comprehension tasks), passmark 70%.They must also attend classes 70% of the time, contribute at least 4 times to Moodlinka forums, and write one written assignment.
