- Course objectives
- Main objectives can be summarized as follows:
a) At theoretical work the student should manifest his/her competence to work with accessible sources of information (to do literature search including its critical evaluation and corresponding conclusions). This form is suitable for students that were all the time seeking to understand the problems taught more than it was required within the exams (that is first of all for students inclining to abstract thinking and deductive methods.
b) At experimental empirical) work the student should collect not only litetrature search information, but first of all his own empirical data. These data he should organize, analyze, synthetize, interpret. This form is suitable for students inclining to inductive methods. - Syllabus
- The work on bachelor thesis starts from knowledge received during the bachelor study program.
- The main subject fields for bachelor thesis are general, organic, inorganic, physical, analytical chemistry and biochemistry, but it also can have interdisciplinar character, including chemico-didactical.
- Chosing the bachelor thesis theme, an important point of view is also the possibility to use the results in standard practice (applied chemistry, use of computers for chemistry) or its civil importance (environmental problems, chemistry of sustainable growth,...), which may lead in better student`work.
