Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are the following: - understanding the significance of environmental education for the development of environmental literacy and pupils personal developments in primary education; -acquirement of critical thinking capability for self-reflexive learning as a basic skill for lifelong environmental education; -acquirement of basic knowledge important for understanding connections in nature, of which human being is a part, and also the impact of the development of human society so far; -defining main goals for the use of environmental education in primary schools; -understanding and analyzing the changing form of learning and teaching for environmental literacy in modern world.
Syllabus
The aim of this subject is unification of basic knowledge about organic and inorganic nature. Permanently sustainable life and growth – health society for health nature; Botanic garden Kejbaly – biotope garden; . Training of basic garden skills; . Recording phonological changes; . Experimenting – simple biology experiments; . House plants – Tropical botanic garden of MU; . Environmental approach in daily life.
