Course objectives
At the end of this course, students should be able to: (1) identify "on sight" the most common plants of the Czech Republic without botanical literature; (2) to work with plant material and with determination botanical literature; (3) determine most of the plants using taxonomic keys; (4) characterize main vegetation types of the Czech Republic; (5) and to determine the dominant and diagnostic species of these vegetation types.
Syllabus
  • We will take three or four field trip during regular lab time to collect and to see local plants in natural habitats. More complete instructions for organization of the field courses will be given during lab.
