Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to present the basic information about the past of the Earth`s landscapes. The brief introduction into the selected research methods of the Earth`s past will be given. Students have to understand the importance of the knowledge about the landscape past for the present and the future of the territory. A proposal how to present this knowledge to secondary stage school pupils will be given in order to make them able to understand the subject. Students are able to distinguish essential stages in the evolution of the planet Earth, then describe key events, interpret their significance for the present. They are also able to transform acquired knowledge into geographic education using an attractive way.
