- Course objectives
- The goal is to deepen the knowledge of practical Russian language. At the end of the seminar student will be able to converse in the discussed topics; to form correctly Russian sentences using the new vocabulary; to explain interference phenomena. Students simultaneously develop their listening and reading skills working with texts, periodicals and the Internet.
- Syllabus
- Basic conversation topics:
- 1.Modern technology. Social networks.
- 2. Ecology. Environment.
- 3. Climate conditions. The climate in Russia and the Czech Republic.
- 4. Transport - own experiences, characteristics, differences in the use in Russia and in Czech Republic.
- 5. The orientations in the city. The bank, post office, hotel.
- 6. My plans for the future.

- Teaching methods
- Seminar. Student must actively participate in the class, regulary prepare home assignments. Students read and listen Russian texts, work individually and prepare group projects.
- Assessment methods
- The credit requirements: 1. regular assessment and doing the required home assignments; 2. an essay on the given topic which student must write and hand in (during the last study week at the latest).
