Course objectives
Practice demonstration of knowledges from Bi2BP_NPP1 and Bi2BP_NPP2 on the concrete geological localities in Hrubý Jeseník Mts. Demonstration of basic rules and methods of working in the field.

  • Day 1: Rešov waterfall - Devonian metamorphic rocks Ondřejov - Low Carboniferous shales Nová Ves u Rýmařova - historical minig of Pb-Zn ore Uhlířský vrch u Bruntálu - Tertiary and Quarternary vulcanic processes Day 2: Zlaté Hory - Pb-Zn-Cu-Au ore deposit, mining and environment Zlatý Chlum at Jeseník - historical minig of gold Bukovice - basic metamorphic rocks Day 3: Hiking with examples of geological structures. Day 4: Supíkovice - marble quarry Velké Kunětice - glacier sediments Vidnava - kaolinite deposit Černá voda - granite quarry Boží hora at Žulová - findings of berg crystals Day 5: Dlouhé Stráně - pumping water power-plant Střelecký důl - pegmatite body Zámčisko - gneisses of Desná group Bludov - calc-silicate rocks of Keprník group
