At the end of the course the students should be able to analyse political theories of the 20th and 21th century.
Syllabus
  • History of political theories in 20th century. Sociology in political theories of 20th century. Critical theory of Frankfurt school. Existencialism - human, freedom, society. Political philosophy of Christian personalism. Liberal notion of state and social justice. Totality in works of Arendt and Aron. Theory of democracy in 20th century. Perspectives of post-capitalist and post-communist society - P. Berger, R. Dahrendorf, U. Beck, F. Fukuyama, A. and H. Toffler, S. Huntington, F. Zakaria, N. Chomsky.
