Course objectives
Basics of methodical work in focusing on working out a thesis. The course is designed as a final course encouraging students to write their thesis meeting all the requirements placed on it. Completion of this course will ensure that the student submits diploma thesis agreed by supervisor. The student should be ready for a successful defense of diploma thesis and aware of the requirements stated by a commission on defense.
Syllabus
  • The student shall keep touch with the teacher (trainer, tutor) and discuss with him the thema of the diploma thesis. It is presupposed that after finishing the course: student has submited diploma thesis. 1. Choosing the topic. 2. Preparation of a project of the thesis. - selection and description of a problem to be solved - aim of the work - elaboration methods, partial milestones - references - timeline of the thesis elaboration. 3. Recommended phases of the thesis elaboration. 4. Forms of thesis elaboration, formal issues - editing the text - references, citations, concrete examples - layout of the binding and frontpage - possible appendices. 5.Defense of the thesis.
