Course objectives
At the end of this course, students should be able to: - understand the recent distribution of particular species occuring in the area of Czech republic; rate of protection conditions; - identify to common Czech vertebrates and explain the basic knowledge of ecological requirements and occurence in ecosystems; - have a understanding of vertebrate diverzity on Czech - characteristize of vertebrate taxons in model ecosystems; - know bionomie of model vertebrate species;

  • Seminary Basic picture about vertebrates body organization, acquire of determinate competences important vertebrates species in CR, its bionomie. 1. Cyclostomata 2. Actinopterygii 3. Amphibia 4. Reptilia 5. Aves 6. Mammalia 7. Vertebrates in different ecosytems.

Colloqium(individual projects of model vertebrate bionomie - students presentation (PPP), class discussion, laboratory determination of vertebrates, observation and determination of vertebrates in ecosystems)
Assessment methods
Final grade: - test examination (bionomie and ecology, systematics of chordates). - knowledge about our vertebrate species (5 groups - fishes, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals)and ecosystems
