- Prerequisites
- The subject is an introduction to the profiling of the student in the chosen specialization of physical education. The aim of the course is to provide students with a basic orientation in the discipline, to give an idea about the goals and purposes of physical education, the interconnection of theory and practice, the relation of physical education to various target groups of the population, especially to socially disadvantaged groups. To acquire knowledge about the development and comparison of physical education within Europe. To gain knowledge about the possibilities of applying theory to practice, the school environment, the methods and forms influenced by different directions of physical education, culture and the development of society. Various forms and methods provide physical education with a great creative potential and the opportunity to enter into many different spheres of socio pedagogical activities.

- Course objectives
- The student will acquire basic knowledge about physical education, which is the starting point for intentional physical activity of the person within the corresponding physical regime and healthy lifestyle. The subject covers the theory of physical education, theory of physical load, theoretical basics of health-oriented fitness, motor-learning processes, influencing of motor skills, making of group and individual motion programs suitable both for healthy and health weakened population and the basics of designing an optimal physical regime.

- 1. Outline of the development of intentional physical activities and physical education.
- 2. The most well-known systems of physical education in world history.
- 3. Basic concepts of sports, physical education and physical activities.
- 4. Health-oriented concept of physical education and physical activity.
- 5. Objectives of physical activity and its designing.
- 6. A new concept of pedagogical management. Safety of the training environment.
- 7. Motor learning and factors influencing its process.
- Intentional social learning in physical activities.
- 8. Metabolism in physical activity, physical load and health-oriented fitness.
- 9. Components of health-oriented fitness (muscle fitness and flexibility, cardiovascular fitness, body composition).
- 10. Composition of an exercise unit, didactic methods and forms of physical activities, non-traditional physical activities.
- 11. Physical activity of the physically weakened.
- 12. Teacher's preparation for the organization and management of physical activities.
- 13. Physical regime, individual and group motion programs.
- 14. Summary of findings - the basis for follow-up subjects.
