Course objectives
The main objective of the course is to acquaint students with the theatre work. Gradually they are led to create short theatrical outputs. The course offers students closer acquaintance with the theatrical production through their own experience. Based on the selected topic, they learn to work with the situation, its analysis and construction for theatrical work. On this principle, they use practical exercises, acquire basic prerequisites for the theatrical processing of the subject. In this way, they get to know with the theoretical knowledge from the field of the theatrical theories (terminology, theater components, forms and genres of theater, etc.), which are connected with the theatre production.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- characterize individual theatrical components;
- to focus on the situation, the dramatic situation and the stage situation;
- use selected theme for stage processing;
- create a short stage situation, based on the assigned task;
- to reflect their own stage shape or others.

Teaching methods
Voice and movement improvisation, acting game, stage acting, work with text, discussion, methods of skill creation.
Assessment methods
The course is completed by a practical demonstration of the final theatrical performance, either in the form of public production or internal group presentation. The evaluation is based on an analysis of the students' activities - active involvement of students, regular attendance and home preparation and reflection of the final theatrical performance.
