Course objectives
The aim of the course is to provide an overview of what topics/themes/concepts are discussed in primary and secondary schools in geography lessons and how geographic themes are organized in individual years of primary and secondary school.
Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes,Student: - Describes the specifics of geography as a subject. - Characterizes the position of geography in the curriculum of primary and lower secondary schools in Czechia. - Analyzes and evaluates how particular geographic disciplines are implemented in the curriculum of primary and lower secondary schools in Czechia. - Analyzes and evaluates current state and school documents related to the geographic curriculum of in the curriculum of primary and lower secondary schools in Czechia. - Describes different conceptions of geography curriculum at particular stages of schooling in Czechia. - Characterizes and illustrates modern trends in geography teaching.
