Course objectives
Deaf Education:
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with the concept of support measures, to explain and describe the degree of support measures for pupils with hearing impairment, which are provided in ordinary elementary schools as part of inclusive education.

Impaired Communication Ability:
he aim of the subject is to familiarize students with the issue of providing support measures to pupils with impaired communication ability - with related legislative regulations, the activities of counseling facilities, the composition and characteristics of the support measures, the specifics of their selection and composition, the possibilities of interdisciplinary cooperation within the framework of comprehensive support of pupils with disturbed communication ability
Learning outcomes
Deaf Education:
• The student is oriented in new school legislation;
• can characterize support measures for pupils with hearing impairment in the inclusive school environment;
• is able to create a pedagogical support plan or an individual educational plan;
• Focuses on a range of speaker-aiding devices, controls wireless accessories and is able to properly evaluate the need for their use.

Impaired Communication Ability:
The student is oriented in terminology and legislation related to support measures;
The student is oriented in terminology anknows the activities of advisory facilities in the context of providing support measures and the composition of support measures 1-5. degree.
Syllabus
  • Deaf Education:
  • • The activity of the school counseling facility and the school counseling center in the context of providing support measures. Interdisciplinary cooperation.
  • • Level 1 support measures - Pedagogical Support Plan (PLPP), plan development and its role in educating pupils with special educational needs and providing higher levels of support measures.
  • • Recommendations for the education of pupils with special educational needs in the 2nd-5th. level of support measures (documentation process, cooperation with parents, school and school facilities in the implementation of support measures).
  • • Individual education plan (IVP) - IVP characteristics and composition, IVP creation, cooperation with school and school facilities in IVP creation.
  • • Personnel support measures provided according to valid legislation (teacher assistant, sign language interpreter, other teacher, special pedagogue and their role in educating a pupil with special educational needs with respect to a disability audience).
  • • General characteristics of support measures.
  • • Support measures for pupils with the need to support education for hearing impairment:
  • Area of support: Organization of teaching;
  • Area of support: Modification of teaching methods and forms;

  • • The activity of the school counseling facility in the context of providing support measures. Interdisciplinary cooperation.
  • • The activity of the school counseling center in the context of the provision of support measures, cooperation with teachers, methodical guidance.
  • • Level 1 of Support Measures - Pedagogical Support Plan, plan development and its role in educating pupils with special educational needs and providing higher levels of support measures. Analysis and discussion - case studies.

  • • Personnel support measures provided under valid legislation (teacher assistant, other teacher, special educator and their role in the education of pupils with special educational needs).
  • • Support measures of a material nature provided according to the valid legislation (special textbooks, aids and compensatory aids). The use of AAC systems in the education of pupils with special educational needs.
  • • FEP - specifics of adaptations in the education of pupils with special educational needs.

Assessment methods
Deaf Education:
Written test (it is necessary to successfully cope with 75% correct answers) and oral exam, practical exam.. The student develops a case study of a pupil with hearing impairment focusing on the application of support measures in the range of min. 2-3 pages A4.

Disrupted Communication Ability
Processing a case study of a child / pupil with a SM and its presentation; written test (75% of the correct answers to the test), oral exam.
