- Course objectives
- The aim of the course will be to acquaint students with the oldest history of Western, Eastern and Southern Slavs, especially with the origin and development of their first state units in the Middle Ages. However, we will also deal with the development of education and art, and we will also mention the specifics of individual areas of the Slavic world in the manifestations of material culture.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will learn the oldest history of Western, Eastern and Southern Slavs. They will gain an awareness of their first states, education and culture.
- Syllabus
- Early Middle Ages in Central, Eastern and Southern Europe. Peculiarities of the development of early medieval society - Kievan Rus, Moscow Rus, Poland, the state of Croats, Serbs, Slovenes, Bulgarians.
