Course objectives
The students will be able to understand, explain and use the knowledge of outdoor tourism and stays in nature with a focus on health supporting physical activity in younger school-aged children.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course the students will understand and be able to make use of healthy, efficient and environment-friendly stays in nature with a focus on health-preventive activities used in summer schools for younger school-aged children.
Syllabus
  • 1-2. Games in a meadow focused on the use of natural materials, cooperation and team spirit, types of rope obstacles suitable for younger school-aged children.
  • 3-4. Field games, unconventional outdoor physical games and sports games. Free running activities focused on basic locomotion – climbing, jumping, balancing, coordination exercises.
  • 5-6. Forest and field games, adventure games, orientation games.
  • 7-8. Water games.
  • 9-12. Suggestions for relaxing, compensatory and leisure activities in a natural environment.
