Course objectives
The contain of this course deals with the base concepts of the psychology of preschool child and the acceptation of these information in pedagogical practice. At the end of this course student should be able to:
- understand the theories of learning and upbringing with mutual interaction in psychic processes
- describe and expaine the base conception in changes in period of child psychic development with focus on preschool period
- describe personality of preschool child
Syllabus
  • 1. Personality of preschool child. Developmental changes (cognitive changes, emotional, social, moral, selfconception).
  • 2. Developmental changes in early childhood up to 3.
  • 3. Personality of preschool teacher. Teacher´s stress, burn-out, prevention and coping.
  • 4. Psychology of teaching-learning process. Principals of learning process, learning theory, learning styles.
  • 5. Psychology of family environment. Infuence of family members, parenting styles.
  • 6. Psychology of upbringing process.
  • 7. Socialisation, social learning, influence of social environment, socialisation in kindergarten.
  • 8.Social perception and communication, communication in kindergarten.
  • 9. Children with special needs in kindergarten, preschool children with difficulties in their behavior.
  • 10. Preschool child ability to start school education.
