Course objectives
The aim of this seminar is to get students to reflect on the role of digital competences when teaching German as a Foreign Language. To do so, they will aquire knowledge of the relevant European Digital Competence Framework for Educators (DigCompEdu) and use this knowledge to assess both their own digital competences as well as the digital competences of their learners. Based on this, the students will learn how to create tasks that promote the use of digital competences in their foreign language teaching.
Learning outcomes
The students
- are aware of the need to promote digital competences in the teaching of German as a foreign language.
- know how to assess and develop both their own and their learners‘ digital competences.
- are able to explicitly consider digital competences when setting tasks for their learners.
