Course objectives
Main objectives of the course can be summarized as followes:
- Active didactic and methodic work with the chemistry curriculum for primary schools;
- to learn skills of school transformation of chemical information within knowledgeable base of chemistry;
- To apply and interpret theoretical knowledge of General Didactics and General Didactics of Chemistry;
- to learn alternative and modern teaching methods;
- to familiarize and learn each topics, that are taught at primary school and its didactic transformation and didactis interpretation;
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to • active didactic work with the chemistry school for elementary schools; • acquiring the ability to transform school chemical information within the knowledge base of chemistry; • application and interpretation of theoretical knowledge of general didactics and general didactics of chemistry; • adopting alternative and modern teaching methods; • getting acquainted with and learning about the individual topics discussed at the elementary schools and mastering their didactic interpretation.

  • 1.Introduction to the aim and purpose of the course.
  • 2. Theoretical, technological, didactic, experimental and application aspects of teaching chemistry at the Primary School.
  • 3. Observation and experiment in chemistry.
  • 4. Mixtures.
  • 5. Particle composition of substances.
  • 6. Periodical law.
  • 7. Chemical response and merge ratios.
  • 8. Solutions and calculations in chemistry.
  • 9. Oxides, sulphides, halides, hydroxides, acids and salts.
  • 10.Effects on the speed of chemical reactions.
  • 11.Redox response.
  • 12. Hydrocarbons, composition, structure and properties.
  • 13. Greening across the chemical curriculum.
  • 14. Diagnosis of chemical school work.
  • 15. Natural organic compounds.
