- Course objectives
- The course aims to teach students to work with the knowledge of theorists and historians of architecture in the process of school and museum education. In addition to the analysis of selected educational projects, students will try the implementation of a self-designed program for schools or the public. The creative process will be followed by self-reflection and feedback.
- Learning outcomes
- The student will use the theoretical architectural knowledge in the gallery education. Will be able to analyze projects more closely. She will be ready to reflect her own project on the basis of practical realization.

- 1. - 3. Mediators of architecture (overview of educational activities at home and abroad, education policy, cooperation with schools, examples of methodologies) 4. - 6. Possibilities of mediation (conception of architecture from the point of view of psychology, philosophy, and other scientific branches, methods of interpretation) 7. - 9. Architecture and art (mutual correlation in art theory, examples of conceptual approaches within artistic creation and their transfer to teaching) 10. - 12. Why is it important to know history (importance of building information background and knowledge of context)

- The course has an interactive syllabus with study materials related to individual areas of semester teaching. In addition to the continuously assigned tasks from the teacher, the implementation of an animation program is recommended during the semester - ideally in cooperation with schools or for the public within the Brno Art Week event. For these programs, educational and game aids are available at the department for possible use.
