Course objectives
The course objective is to provide PhD students with specific applicable skills and knowledge that relate to educational activities in the context of social inclusion. This offer also includes reflections on theoretical concepts and reflections on social events associated with social inclusion. Part of the content of the curriculum is to improve skills in the field of theater in education, playback of theater or social circus. Within the selected methods of applied drama, PhD students will discuss improvisational techniques, storytelling, facilitation of actors and spectators, analysis of oppression in society or skills in the field of social circus.
Learning outcomes
The PhD students will be able to: • define selected activization methods in the context of social inclusion; • apply the creative potential of their Social Circus skills in the reality of social inclusion; • apply the methods of Theatre of the Oppressed to specific educational needs of various target groups; • apply the methods of Playback Theatre to specific educational needs of various target groups; • analyze foreign approaches and trends in the field of social inclusion; • describe specific aspects of organizing work with various target groups; • prepare and run activization programme for specific target groups.

  • 1. Issues of social inclusion in the educational context. 2. Use of Applied Drama in the HEAT areas (healing, education, activism, theatre). 3. Theatre of the Oppressed in the context of social inclusion. 4. Playback Theatre in the context of social inclusion. 5. Social Circus in the context of social inclusion. 6. Storytelling in the context of Social Education.

Assessment methods
Colloquium, which will be awarded for the self-reflective final report of the PhD student on the educational formation of members of a specific social group. This report serves as a tool for the professional development of social-care workers in the context of social inclusion.
