Course objectives
This subject is focused on characteristics and comparation various kinds of art (architecture, painting, sculpture, literature and music) from the analogy, specifics and development point of view. The intention is to bring a more complex survey on art. Particular attention is placed on analysis of specific expressional means (signs) of the art works of the same or a similar topic and the issue of interpretation of the art work in general.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to understand to arts styles in a more complex survey. The course is focusing on the art styles and schools of the 20th century.

Theoretical preparation, comparative analysis. Discussion. Consultation.
Assessment methods
Oral exam. The content on the basis of reading over required and recommended literature and the programme content of both semesters. Two questions from the range: antiquity - romatism, impressionism - post-modernism.
