Course objectives
Objective of the course: It is a mixed choir, male and female voices sing in it. SATB approx. 50 singers. The goal is to achieve the quality of selection choirs, representation of Masaryk University, participation in concerts and prestigious performances, competitions at home and abroad. The choir's repertoire includes classical choral literature, from the Renaissance to music by contemporary authors, mostly a cappella, or with accompaniment. Regular exams take place twice a week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the evening, i.e. from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at PdF MU, Poříčí 31, 3rd floor, classroom 36, and are evaluated for 6 credits. The content is different in different semesters, it varies according to the plans of the choir and according to the events to which the choir is invited.
Learning outcomes
The student will gain practical experience as a chorister, will become familiar with basic choral literature from the Renaissance to music by contemporary authors, mostly a cappella, or with accompaniment. Teacher's information
Each singer must register for the subject, based on this, he will be invited by email to the entrance talent audition at the beginning of the semester. The singer will be tested on intonation, vocal range and will prepare any song, for example a folk song.
