- The participant should be a graduate of a course focused on the basics of ABA or be a behavioral technician.

- The course will provide participants with enhanced theoretical knowledge and practical tools for assessing the function of problem behaviour in children and pupils with ASD, neurodevelopmental disorders and other diagnoses and subsequent work with this information.
- Learning outcomes
- Participants will learn to identify the function of behavior and its triggers and learn methods of changing the environment and preventing these situations. Along with this, they will learn to identify appropriate alternative behaviors to incorporate into students' learning as part of an individualized plan.
- Syllabus
- 1: Introduction to PBS (Definition and characteristics of PBS (Positive Behavior Support), assessment, intervention design, intervention application, monitoring PBS in practice Practical demonstration ""In their shoes"").
- 2: Review of basic ABA principles (positive and negative reinforcement, Type I and Type II punishment, ethical aspects and law, ABCs of behavior, functions of behavior, practical demonstration.
- 3: Diagnostic and assessment tools (Functional Assessment of Behaviour, interview, FAST (Functional Assessment Screening Tool), MAS (Motivation Assessment Scale) tool, SEC (Related Events Questionnaire) tool, contingency charts).
- 4: Practical application of assessment tools (independent work with assessment tools, preparation and completion of tools for a specific client).
- 5: Intervention strategies (changes in the environment, changes in antecedents (behavioural triggers), functional communication training, skills training, other trigger-focused strategies, consequence-focused strategies - reinforcement, other consequences - token system, contracts, group interventions).
- 6: Creating an intervention plan (independent work, development of assessment tools, examples by behavior function).
- 7: Follow-up and problem solving (final evaluation of prepared intervention plans, questions for independent work and practice).
