Prerequisites
SOUHLAS
The prerequisite for enrolling in the subject is the successful completion of a written test on the basics of speech therapy and deaf therapy and a motivational interview before the committee. They are enrolling students who want to profile themselves in the fields of speech therapy and deaf therapy and who are aiming for a bachelor's degree program in speech therapy and deaf therapy. A prerequisite is, among other things, intact communication skills.

Course objectives
At the end of the course, the student will master the issue of impaired communication skills in preschool and younger school age, will be oriented in the etiological, symptomatological, diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of selected impaired communication skills.
Learning outcomes
The student will learn more about the etiology, symptomatolgy, classification, diagnostic and therapeutical process of the communication disabilities.
Syllabus
  • Developmental language disorder - etiology, symptomatology, procedures used in speech therapy intervention. Possibilities of including children with specifically impaired speech development in speech therapy intervention.
  • Developmental verbal dyspraxia - etiology, symptomatology, procedures used in speech therapy intervention.
  • Phonological disorder - etiology, symptomatology, procedures used in speech therapy intervention.
  • Specific learning disorders, specifics of speech in children with SPU.
  • Mutism – etiology, comprehensive support for people with mutism.
  • Balbuties - etiology, symptomatology, comprehensive support for people with babbles.
  • Tumultus sermonis – etiology, symptomatology, speech therapy intervention.
  • Rhinolalia - etiology, classification, symptomatology, speech therapy intervention.
  • Palatolalia - etiology, classification of clefts, characteristic features of palatolalia, comprehensive support for people with palatolalia.
