The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The course is aimed to basics of analytic methods used for research of collection items in present time museums and galleries. The main accent concerns procedures of these techniques including sampling, information value, limits and potencial of data interpretation. The course concerns also practical work with chosen instruments.

Syllabus
  • 1. Application of radiology and endoscopy in collection items research.
  • 2. Application of computer tomography in collection items research.
  • 3. Application of optické a polarizing microskopy in collection items research.
  • 4. Application of electron microskopy and videomicroskopy in collection items research.
  • 5. Application of handheld XRF spectrometer in collection items research.
  • 6. Application of other analytic methods (XRD, LIBS, AAS, NAA, MALDI-TOF MS, GC-MS, IR, FTIR, Raman spectrometry, etc.) in collection items research.
