Course objectives
A specialised seminar with an orientation on subtitling in the form of project-based learning.
Learning outcomes
Students will learn the basic principles of subtitling and will be able to apply the acquired knowledge in practice.
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction. Assignment of tasks. 2. Presentation and analysis of selected materials for subtitling I. 3.-5. Group discussion of selected problems and presentation of partially prepared subtitles. 6. Presentation of final subtitles I. Discussion. 7. Presentation of final subtitles II. Final discussion.

Teaching methods
1. Classes according to the schedule. 2. Independent work on subtitles. 3. Individual and group consultations. Thorough and regular home preparation is required.
Assessment methods
Presentation of the developed parts of the project, active participation in class discussions and presentation of the final project. Submission of a written reflection of the work.
