Course objectives
The system of Indo-European speech sounds leading towards Latin, gradation, laryngeal theory, Latin sounds during the course of historical development in antiquity, noun and verb categories, the development of systems of declination and conjugation.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • 1.-2. Systém indoevr. samohlásek a dvojhlásek na cestě do latiny. 3. Indoevropský ablaut a jeho důsledky v latině; laryngální teorie. 4.-5. Latinské samohlásky a dvojhlásky v průběhu starověkého historického vývoje. 6. Předhistorické oslabování samohlásek a dvojhlásek v nepřízvučných slabikách. Změny kvantity v průběhu latinského starověkého vývoje. 7.-8. Systém indoevropských explozív na cestě do latiny. 9. Pozdně latinské asibilace a palatalizace. 10. Rotacismus. - Další vybrané konsonantické změny. 11 Jmenné kategorie; přehled deklinačních typů. 12. Substantiva a adjektiva I. deklinace.
