Course objectives
Interpretation following on the lecture in Byzantine literature; medieval Cypriot and early Modern Greek Cretan literature during the Renaissance; the main phenomena of Modern Greek literary development during the Turkish domination, during the National Revival, during the 19th and 20th centuries; reading extracts from the most important literary works.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • Výklad naváže chronologicky na přednášky o pozdněbyzantské literatuře a na výklad o byzantské literatuře psané lidovým jazykem. Bude probrána středověká kyperská a raně novověká krétská literatura období renesance, dále hlavní jevy novořeckého literárního vývoje v období turecké nadvlády, v období národního obrození, v 19. a 20. stol. Výklad bude doprovázen četbou výňatků významnějších literárních památek.
  • Dále budou posluchači vypracovávat referáty, příp. krátké písemné práce (15-20stran) o významných autorech, jevech, žánrech novořecké literatury, referáty o vědeckých pracech o novořecké literatuře ap.
