Course objectives
In the seminar, the students are introduced into the cultural and historical contexts in which the New Testament texts were created. Attention is given as well to issues of translation of the New Testament, especially the specifics of the Cyril and Methodius translation.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • V semináři se posluchači seznámí s kulturněhistorickým kontextem, ve kterém vznikaly novozákonní texty. Pozornost je věnována i problematice překladů Nového zákona, zejména specifikům slovanského překladu cyrilometodějského. Předpokladem pro přijetí do semináře je zkouška ze Základů staroslověnštiny a slavistiky.
