Course objectives
Books develop from preexisting books. It is evident through the whole literary tradition but it is especially true with texts, where a different text enters into another as a quotation, allusion or as an object. Students in the seminar will examine how one book can penetrate another one and how it can help to construct its meaning; topics of reading, writing and translating will be also examined.
