Course objectives
The seminar is devoted to Jan Neruda, one of the leading modern Czech authors. It deals with, from a comparative perspective, Nerudas poetry, prose fiction, drama and literary criticism. The students will learn about Nerudas contribution to Czech literature and the development of Czech literature of the late 19th century.
Syllabus
  • Individual seminars will be devoted to the analysis of selected writings by Jan Neruda and other authors; the week-to-week programme will be specified in view to the participants knowledge.
