Course objectives (in Czech)
Laterna Magica je scénická forma, principiálně založená na kombinaci divadla (činoherního, zpívaného, baletu i pantomimy) s filmem (střídavě klasického i širokého formátu, černobílého i barevného). Osobitost propojení spočívá ve skutečnosti, že projektovaný obraz a jevištní akce nemají význam samy o sobě, ale pouze společně. J.Grossman programy Laterny Magiky považoval za zárodek nové scénické formy a souboru vyjadřovacích prostředků, které jsou blízké mentalitě diváka 20.století. Seminář si klade za cíl zkoumat více než čtyřicetiletou existenci Laterny Magiky, která se dočkala hlubší reflexe jen jednou, v r.1968, hledat její předchůdce (experimenty Piscatorovy a Burianovy, filmová a divadelní tvorba A.Radoka) i následovníky v divadle i nových médiích.
