Course objectives
This intensive seminar is offered by a guest lecturer Ms.Erika Drucker who has a tremendous amount of experience in dealing with translations into English. She has worked for (amongs others)the United Nations and UNESCO, both as an active translator and checking translations for accuracy. The seminar will focus on translation of government and other official documents as well as scientific texts. It is recommended for students with outstanding English language skills. The general focuses of the course will be: a) An examination of particular translation problems in certain specialized areas, and b) An emphasis on advanced practice of English writing appropriate to the specific field involved. A more specific outline will be provided at a later date.
