- Course objectives
- In this course dedicated to Czech film of the nineties we will focus not only on the institutional changes of the cinematographic institution but also mainly on the stylistic and thematic characteristics in feature and documentary film. Among other things we will also focus on the relation between "truth of documentary film" and "verisimilitude of fiction", signs of author in narration, ostentatious visual attractiveness of images and so on. We will compare recent film with past filmic period (New Wave) and with other artistic fields (forms of contemporary drama and its heroes).
