Syllabus
  • In the course we will look more closely at the history and some of the factors that shaped today's multicultural Australia, and try to find answers to questions like "Who is a 'genuine' Australian?", "What is the relationship between the Aborigines and the Whites?", "What is the role of other ethnic minorities?", "How do some Australian writers and film makers react to different social phenomena?" Materials will include readings by both black and white Australians, as well as videos and films.
