Course objectives (in Czech)
The course will look at a series of shorter pieces of fiction and prose, mainly by post-war writers, though also looking at earlier twentieth century developments. The aim will be to look at both divergences and correspondences between approaches in terms of form ,style, topic and other considerations. Writers whose work is considered will include Henry James, Joesph Conrad, Samuel Beckett, Muriel Spark,Angela Carter, Pat Barker, Bruce Chatwin,John Fowles and Hanif Kureishi.
