Course objectives
The aim of this seminar is to present students one of the most important figures of Czech literary Baroque Adam Michna z Otradovic.
Syllabus
  • Seminar work will be based on a detailed analysis of Michnas texts (selected mainly from eská mariánská muzika and Loutna eská), with regard to context of the time when they originated. We will deal with the symbolism of compositions, inspirational sources, the analysis of figures and tropes etc.
