The course is addressed to those students who have a good knowledge of Italian language or at least that have attended two semesters of Italian courses.

Course objectives
The course, which will be taught in Italian by a researcher from Udine University, Italy, offers some essential elements regarding the historical and geographical situation of the region Friuli, the genesis of the Friuli language, its peculiar language characteristics and its contemporary condition related to sociolinguistics. The course will be taught from 17th to 19th October 2006 for a period of twelve hours. Attendance to the course is compulsory in order to receive a form of evaluation (zapocet).
