Course objectives (in Czech)
Cílem kurzu je seznámit studenty s požadavky kladenými na překladatele pracující pro Evropskou komisi. Tento intenzivní šestitýdenní kurz je organizován v rámci VTS (Visiting Translator Scheme), programu Evropské komise na pomoc univerzitám v zemích EU. Výuku povede zkušený překladatel pracující řadu let pro Evropskou komisi, Phil Rhodes, ve spolupráci s českými učiteli. Vyučovacím jazykem je angličtina. Kurz je určen pro studenty anglistiky, germanistiky a romanistiky. Náplní kurzu, vyučovaného v počítačové učebně, je nejen překlad dokumentů Evropské komise do češtiny, ale i překlad do cizího jazyka a korektura špatně přeložených textů. Podmínkou pro úspěšné ukončení kurzu je vypracování závěrečného překladu v odpovídající kvalitě.
