Course objectives

The lecture provides a review of language terminology to fulfill the needs of the students of philology without any theoretical linguistic knowledge.

Syllabus

1) Synchronic linguistics. 2) Sign quality and systematic nature of language. 3) Phonetics and Phonology. 4-6)Morphology, grammatical categories. 7)Syntax. 8-9)Lexicology and semantics. 10-11) Phraseology, stylistics.
