Course objectives
E. Beneš' part in the creation of an independent Czechoslovak state and his role as the long-term definitive creator of Czechoslovak foreign policy, his growing importance in domestic politics, his role during the period when the country and all of Europe were threatened by Fascism, and his part in the re-establishment of Czechoslovak independence between 1939 and 1945.
