- Course objectives
- Crux of the seminary is based on the study of residences of the second half of the 17th century and the first half of the 18th century. Main objectives can be summarized as the questions of the selected Bohemian and Moravian residences as follows: relation of the function of residence-parts to the iconographical programme of paintings, popularity of the iconographical themes, changes in the iconographical programmes, graphical sources, etc. At the end of this course, students should be able to understand the whole form of the baroque residences, especially the correlation between architecture, painting and sculpture and the relation to the historical background of residences.
