Course objectives
The course is designed as a preparation for the bachelor state exam. The concrete topic is dependant on a choice from the state exam topics on world theatre history. This term the course focuses on the Theatre of the European Renaissance. The course consists of an introductory lecture, 3 written assignments, and consultations. The core of the course are individual tutorials over partial topics.
Syllabus
  • 1) introductory lecture (case study of a problem; 90min); introduction to the problems, subject matter and methodology; detailed descritption of individual assignments (90min) 2) seminar work I (bibliography, research) 3) consultation 4) seminar work II (based on selected bibliography) 5) consultation 6) seminar work III (detailed work on a given topic) 7) individual consultation
Assessment methods
3 seminar essays and consultations. The assessment is based on the submitted assignments, especially the final one.
