Course objectives
The seminar focuses on developing language skills regarding translation from Czech into French.
Syllabus
  • Alternating focus on grammatical and stylistic translation. Grammar-based practice translation into French, emphasis on correct usage of: - Articles - Pronouns - Verbs - Prepositions Style-oriented practice translations into French, emphasis on correct usage of: - Determining constructions - Sequence of tenses and related differences in verb usage - Expliciation of proper nouns - Logical connectors, etc.
