Course objectives
The course aims at presenting the poetry of Eugenio Montale, a leading personality of the literary Novecento.
Syllabus
  • The seminar focuses on the analysis of the linguistic, compositional and semantic aspects of Montale’s poems, thus leading the students to recognize the caracteristic features of his collections (Ossi di seppia, Le occasioni, La bufera e altro) and to understand the author’s artistic development; special attention is paid to the historical and literary context.
